1. Introduction
The two main areas of medicine, namely clinical and translational medicine, are the
primary focus of the Journal of Clinical and Translational Research (JCTR) – a journal that
we wish would become the leading platform for dissemination and scientific exchange of
medical discoveries and applications. The current issue features a collection of excellent
articles covering the two above-mentioned areas, representative of the journal’s scope.
This editorial will present an overview of the papers included in the current issue,
highlighting the significance of the authors’ works.
2. Scope and spectrum of our journalistic activity
Rapidly developing biomedical research requires rapid worldwide dissemination, which
aligns with JCTR’s main goal of delivering our content to the audience at the fastest
speed possible. The content of our journal is very diverse since both key areas, namely
