In 2022, we launched Advanced Neurology with the collaborative efforts of our editorial
board members, experts, editors, and authors. We successfully published a total of three
issues and 24 articles last year, which have been downloaded 1931 times and viewed
14,905 times by the end of March 2023. In 2023, we plan to publish four issues and
continue to showcase cutting-edge and multi-dimensional articles on basic, translational,
and clinical research in neuroscience and neurology. We also plan to gradually launch
special issues and featured columns to complement the current scope of the journal, so
as to cater to a broader audience.
We are pleased to announce the release of the first issue of 2023, which features
articles that explore the frontiers of neurology. These articles include “An Update of

the Axon Initial Segment Structure and Function” and “The Neural Mechanisms
of Social Empathy in the Anterior Cingulate Cortex” . Besides, one of the articles
