Most of the water consumed in the park is used for green
areas and plants. A study showed that approximately 55%

of the woody landscape plant taxa identified in the park
have moderate water consumption, whereas 29% have low
to moderate water consumption, 8% have moderate to high
water consumption, 4% have high water consumption, and
4% have low water consumption. Consequently, plants
with moderate water consumption are the most prevalent.
Interview park officials highlighted their focus on water
conservation due to Ankara’s status as a water-poor city. To
achieve this, they avoided expanding grass areas; instead,
