                                        Abstract
                                        Sporting activities provide valuable insights into how societal issues and health
                                        impact everyone. Both communicable and non-communicable diseases are prevalent
                                        today and are often diagnosed through medical laboratory investigations, including
                                        microbiology. The COVID-19 pandemic underscored the adage, “Your health is your
