               the photodiode and the events on-chip. The process is initiated upon upwards crossing of the

               debris threshold value. The time difference to a previous event is checked. If a previous event
               is too close, both events get flagged as non-sortable (red flag). If the distance is above the

               distance threshold, the first event gets sorted (green flag), whereas the following event only
