Heart failure is one of the most common cardiovascular disorders and is considered
a chronic, progressive, and debilitating disorder [1]. It is the most common cause of
hospitalization for patients over the age of 65. The heart failure rate of referrals to emergency
departments and frequent hospitalizations is still high [2]. Heart failure is the most frequent
reason for readmission within 30 days of discharge [3].
According to the latest reports, nearly six million people in the United States have heart
failure. More than 550,000 new cases are diagnosed each year [2]. Heart failure affects 1–2%
of the population or about 50 million people across Europe [4,5]. In Iran, the incidence of heart
failure will increase to 3500 cases per 100,000 individuals in the future, and cardiovascular
disorders such as heart failure are among the major causes of patient mortality and morbidity [6].
