                             3.2 The Second Birth

                             Results in Table 3 show that the age of mother at first birth, sex of the first child, survival status of
                             the first child beyond infancy, and the year of birth are the most significant factors to determine the
                             occurrence of the second birth. Similarly, women’s education, work status and household wealth also
                             have some net  significant effect  on  the  occurrence of  the  second  birth. Relative risk  of  the
